Happy December, transcribers! Here at Transcribers of Reddit, this is the most wonderful time of the year - because every year, this is when you get to give us your feedback on how we are doing!
That's right, it's time for our annual December survey. The survey takes five minutes and is absolutely crucial to help us improve the volunteer experience. Take the survey here, or read our Q&A below first.
Who should take the survey? YOU, as long as you are a transcriber - whether you have done one transcription or ten thousand!
Why should I take it? The survey is the most direct way you can give us feedback on how we're doing. Every year, we implement changes to the subreddit and/or Discord based on what volunteers tell us they want.
What is the survey like? It has an introduction reiterating some of this information, and then three sections. Page Two of the survey concerns feedback and opinions about management of the subreddit and Discord. This is the most important page - if you only answer Page Two and skip the other two sections, that is more helpful than not completing the survey at all! Page Three contains questions about the preferences and activities of our volunteers. Page Four has some extra questions just for fun!
Are you getting any of my personal information? No! The survey is 100% anonymous and we don't ask any personal questions.
Is it really five minutes? Yes!
When should I take it? Right now! Or any time before the evening of December 31, 2020.
Hey, what's that link again? Here you go!
Here are the results of last year's survey. We've refined the questions this year, but this is as fun trip down memory lane!
